Southwark LGBTQQI project 2010
Aged 15 – 30?
Do you identity as lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, questioning or intersex? (LGBTQQI)
Do you live, work, play, learn, visit or socialise in Southwark?
The LGBTQQI Community Development Worker at Southwark Council is looking to recruit a small number of young people to take part in a project that will:
- Support young people to lead a project to celebrate being Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning or Intersex (LGBTQQI)
- Identify the current and historical challenges faced by LGBTQQI people
- Identify how the well-being of young LGBTQQI people can be affected by homo/trans/biphobia
- Compare the lives of young LGBTQQI people in different areas of Europe and the world
- Create a resource (website or book) where young LGBTQQI can share/celebrate/reflect on and/or challenge their lives and the lives of other LGBTQQI people
- Create a good-practice or learning tool that can be shared
Young participants (15 to 30 year –olds) will be instrumental in planning and evaluating the project, and implementing the activities.
